Sharon is a superb acupuncturist. I had a very painful hip that I thought was leading to a replacement, but she quickly improved it so much that now I just need periodic tune-ups. She is also just delightful to interact with!

I came to Sharon as a first-timer, I had no prior experience with acupuncture. She makes each session a wonderful experience where I feel comfortable, cared for, and understood.

I was an acupuncture sceptic. But I also knew people whom Sharon had worked on in Philadelphia before she recently moved to Freeport. We were told that a holistic medical wonder had moved to our town and that we were lucky. OK, Maybe. Then recently I needed a little body relief and I went to Sharon. I went in with a nothing to lose attitude and came out an advocate. Sharon is a miracle worker and knows her medical arts deeply, organically.

I went to see Sharon for a rotator cuff injury, and the experience felt very different from other treatments Ive tried. From the beginning, she listened to my story not just where it hurt, but why I was there and what was happening in my body overall.
The intake process took time, but I quickly realized how intentional it was. Sharon uses a Korean-style acupuncture approach and clearly needs this detailed information to understand and support the whole body, not just focus on the painful area. As a bodywork practitioner myself, I really appreciated how thoughtfully she connected everything together rather than treating my shoulder in isolation.
After just two sessions, my shoulder felt significantly better. She also treated me when I was about to develop cold and throat symptoms, and after a short treatment, I was able to avoid coughing and the cold never fully developed. I have struggled with a weak immune system all my life. In 1993, I came down with Epstein Barr/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. My acupuncturist at the time did help, but I never got well. Then I started to see Sharon Sherman. Over the following twenty years, she helped me build back, and beyond. At age 70, I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been in my life. (Singles tennis, anyone?) Sharon is a consummate professional. She has a deep knowledge of Chinese medicine, including multiple traditions and herbal treatments. Sharon also has a healthy respect for Western modalities and knows when to send her clients in that direction. I forgive Sharon for leaving me and Philadelphia only because she is now treating my sister and her friends at her new location in Freeport. I miss her incisive mind and ironic jokes and wish her all the best!
